Thredbo Accommodation - Things to do in Summer

Fishing in Thredbo and the Snowy Mountains

Thredbo, Jindabyne and the Snowy Mountains offer fly fishing, boat fishing, trout fishing, even naked fishing if you find the right location on our alpine streams, clean rivers, and mountain lakes such as Eucumbene, and Jindabyne. You can hire fishing boats and fishing tackle, purchase fishing gear and fishing lures and the friendly staff will help you tie fishing knots and set your gear up.
With the expert guides no experience is necessary. You can fish in summer and winter; though in winter only on lakes and reservoirs, as most streams are closed from the Queen's Birthday weekend in June to the first weekend in October.
Fishermen must carry an inland fishing licence available from many service stations and tackle shops in the region.

All riders wanting to head uphill to go downhill on the chairlift will need to complete a Downhill Clinic to ensure you have all the tips for tackling the track.

The new Thredbo Valley Track has transformed Thredbo into a cross country mountain bike mecca.
