Thredbo, Jindabyne and the Snowy Mountains offer fly fishing, boat fishing, trout fishing, even naked fishing if you find the right location on our alpine streams, clean rivers, and mountain lakes such as Eucumbene, Jindabyne and even in Khancoban. You can hire fishing boats and fishing tackle, purchase fishing gear and fishing lures and the friendly staff will help you tie fishing knots and set your gear up.
With the expert guides no experience is necessary. You can fish in summer and winter; though in winter only on lakes and reservoirs, as most streams are closed from the Queen's Birthday weekend in June to the first weekend in October.
Fishermen must carry an inland fishing licence available from many service stations and tackle shops in the region.
